There are some couples you meet and immediately feel the genuine kindness they carry with them. Jonathon and AnneMarie were exactly that kind of couple.

From the moment I began photographing their wedding day, it was so evident how much they love and care for one another. Their relationship felt peaceful, genuine, and deeply rooted—not only in their love for each other, but in their faith and their love for the Lord.

Their March 15th wedding at Birdsong Chapel at The Cornealius Properties was a beautiful reflection of that love: classic, romantic, elegant, and filled with meaningful moments.

A Classic Romantic Spring Wedding

AnneMarie chose a beautiful color palette of greenery, blush, soft pink, and touches of gold. Every detail felt intentional and personal, creating a classic romantic feel throughout the day.

One of the sweetest details was their gorgeous cake, decorated with pressed leaves and flowers. And I loved that they chose to do their own flowers! There is something so special about personal touches like these—the details that make a wedding feel completely and uniquely you.

But one of my favorite things about this wedding wasn’t a detail at all.

It was AnneMarie herself.

I don’t know if I have ever photographed a calmer bride.

There was such a peacefulness about her throughout the entire day. Even with all of the excitement surrounding her, she seemed completely present in the moment. She wasn’t simply watching her wedding day happen—she was soaking it all in.

A First Look Filled With Emotion

Jonathon and AnneMarie’s first look was one of those moments that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.

There was so much emotion as they saw each other for the first time. The excitement, the anticipation, and the realization that after all the planning, their wedding day was finally here.

After their first look, the two of them shared private vows inside Birdsong Chapel.

These quiet moments were incredibly meaningful. Away from everyone else, they were able to speak their promises to one another and simply take in the significance of the day.

It was intimate, emotional, and completely theirs.

A Ceremony Rooted in Love & Faith

When it was time for their wedding ceremony, the beauty of Birdsong Chapel created a gorgeous setting for Jonathon and AnneMarie to become husband and wife.

But the most beautiful part wasn’t the setting—it was the meaning behind the promises they made.

Their love for one another and their love for the Lord were evident throughout their vows. Their ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the foundation they are choosing to build their marriage upon.

As they stood together and promised their lives to one another, you could feel just how genuine their love was.

Romantic Portraits by the Pond

The beautiful pond at The Cornealius Properties was such a beautiful backdrop for their portraits, and it was the perfect place to slow down and give Jonathon and AnneMarie a little time together. We then ventured back to the Birdsong Chapel for a few more shots of just them and their wedding space.

Some of my favorite photographs from a wedding day are the ones that happen in between the planned moments.

The way they look at each other.

The little smiles.

The quiet laughter.

The way they naturally move closer to one another.

Those are the photographs that bring you right back to how your wedding day felt.

A Reception Filled With Family, Food & Celebration

Now it was time to celebrate! From their classic romantic color palette to the pressed flowers and greenery on their cake, the details of Jonathon and AnneMarie’s wedding and reception were beautiful.

But I especially loved the personal touches.

They did their own flowers, bringing an extra layer of meaning to the day. They chose details that felt like them, rather than simply following a wedding trend.

And isn’t that what a wedding should be?

A celebration that reflects the two people at the center of it.

Now let us talk about dinner... It was the most delicious BBQ I have had in a long time thanks to Southern Catering BBQ, led by Matthew Register, helped bring the meal together, giving everyone plenty of good food to enjoy as the celebration continued.

The rest of the evening was filled with words of love from their families. Hearing the people who know them best share their love, memories, and hopes for their marriage was such a beautiful part of the evening.

And, of course, the celebration continued with plenty of music and dancing thanks to Tommy with Impulse Entertainment.

One Last Dance

Eventually, the evening began to wind down.

Before their sparkler exit, Jonathon and AnneMarie shared one final dance together.

After months of planning and preparing, there they were—husband and wife—taking in the final moments of the wedding day they had dreamed about.

There is something incredibly special about a final dance.

For those few minutes, the rest of the room seems to disappear. The music plays, the celebration fades into the background, and the couple gets one last quiet moment together before the night comes to an end.

Then came their sparkler exit, sending them off into the beginning of their new life together.
